We are looking for a New Partnerships Development Director to join our team at Nectar360. This role is based at our Holborn store support centre, with the flexibility to work from home as well.
As the New Partnerships Development Director, you will be at the forefront of driving significant profit growth through Nectar360’s data-driven offerings. You will lead the growth strategy for the Nectar Coalition programme, focusing on creating long-term profit growth and developing partnership propositions that enhance customer engagement and profitability. Your role will involve developing new partners for the Nectar Coalition programme, from prospecting and initial outreach to business casing, proposal contract negotiation, and handover to the delivery teams.
This position requires a strong ability to build relationships and develop commercial strategies within the loyalty, marketing, and data industries. You will need to scope and build unique commercial partnerships and work across multi-functional teams to bring them to life. Your ability to quickly assess and size commercial opportunities, creating win-win partnership structures that deliver value for our customers, partners, and the Nectar360 business, will be crucial.
In this role, you will be responsible for building a network of prospects and targets within potential new partners. You will lead consultative sales engagements, interacting with senior stakeholders of major consumer-facing and B2B brands. Identifying revenue growth opportunities across the Nectar Coalition business will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will manage the end-to-end sales process, from target prospect identification and initial pitch to negotiating and closing all deals. Additionally, you will be accountable for delivering and growing £20m in revenue from our Loyalty and Data Partnership capabilities.
Relationship management is a vital aspect of this role. You will build a strong and collaborative way of working with peers across Nectar360 leadership to positively develop the culture of both the Commercial team and the broader business. Creating an influential network of senior contacts across key focus categories for Nectar business development will ensure that we are front of mind, trusted, and respected when decisions are made around investment into customer engagement, loyalty, and data propositions. Given our long sales cycles, you will need to maintain a tenacious yet considered approach to relationship management within your network. Building effective relationships with colleagues in Product & Tech will be essential to ensure the successful ongoing build and delivery of our Nectar proposition, meeting our partners' and Nectar's commercial ambitions.
To be successful in this role, you will need extensive experience in the Loyalty and Data Driven Marketing industry. Your ability to build networks and relationships across multiple businesses and talk credibly about Nectar360 capabilities will be essential. Strategic thinking and proven commercial acumen are required to deliver on our commercial plan. You should have experience driving tough commercial negotiations with a track record of beneficial outcomes and the ability to pivot your approach as needed to ensure commercial targets are met. An entrepreneurial spirit to bring new commercial models and propositions to power growth for the business and unlock significant value for our customers and the business is highly valued.
You will also need extensive experience leading complex cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders, managing against a constantly changing industry background and its regulations. Independence of thought to maximise opportunities, with the confidence to experiment and act on opportunities with only broad guidance, will be crucial.
