What you'll do
You will play a crucial role in analysing and interpreting generated forecasts to drive operational savings and better outcomes for customers during local events. Your primary responsibility will be to utilise machine learning, demand forecasting, and store ordering systems to support the successful delivery of planned local events at various levels, including category, store, cluster, and region. You will analyse forecast model outputs to accurately predict volume requirements and make informed decisions on store-level overrides when necessary. Collaborating with supply chain, logistics, and retail business units, you will build effective relationships to ensure the best outcomes for customers, while also proactively supporting stores experiencing significant trade impacts during local event periods. With your strong business acumen and analytical skills, you will influence and challenge stakeholders, contribute to continuous improvement targets, and drive operational savings. Additionally, you will provide support for ad hoc queries and actively work towards reducing the number of such activities by employing end-to-end problem-solving approaches. In this role, you will contribute to a customer-centric mindset, apply critical thinking in decision-making, and demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Who you are
You are a highly skilled and analytical professional with a strong business acumen and a customer-centric mindset. With your expertise in data analysis, demand forecasting, and store ordering systems, you have a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges involved in managing supply chain initiatives at a category, store, cluster, and regional level. Your ability to generate insights and trends from data, coupled with your critical thinking and problem-solving skills, allows you to make informed decisions to drive operational savings and deliver better outcomes for the customer. With excellent communication and negotiation skills, you effectively collaborate with stakeholders across the business and build strong relationships, ensuring successful event planning and execution. Your attention to detail, prioritisation skills, and ability to work in an agile and changing environment enable you to navigate the dynamic retail landscape and continuously improve processes to achieve the best customer outcomes.
