What you'll do
As the Brand Growth Manager at Sainsbury's, you will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth for our ranges through the 'Brands only @ Sainsbury’s'. Your responsibilities will include defining the growth ambition and key objectives for the Sainsbury’s portfolio of brands, identifying growth opportunities across all channels, and leading the development of commercial brand growth plans to showcase brands exclusively at Sainsbury’s. By collaborating with cross-functional teams and integrating brand growth priorities into existing business processes, you will work towards achieving volume, sales, profit, and market share objectives to enhance the customer experience and drive business performance. You’ll have one direct report to lead, support and develop.
Who you are
You are a strategic and customer-focused professional with a solid background in developing and executing commercial brand strategies and growth plans in the retail, FMCG, or manufacturing industry. Your ability to analyse data, prioritise opportunities, and drive customer engagement is complemented by your strong relationship-building skills and experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. With a strategic mindset, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and solid people management skills, you play a key role in defining and implementing growth initiatives to elevate Sainsbury's brands and drive sustainable growth across various channels.
Essential Criteria
- Ability to understand and interpret complex large data sets and information.
- Highly proficient and experienced in drawing insights and making recommendations using both customer and commercial data.
- Experience of developing and executing commercial brand strategies and growth plans in retail, FMCG or manufacturing; proven ability to both define a strategy and translate strategy into clearly defined actions
- Experience in presenting and excellent storytelling cross functionally and strong ability to engage and influence colleagues at all levels including senior management.
