What you'll do
As a Commercial Support Analyst at Sainsbury's, you will play a crucial role in supporting the trading and retail teams by leading the response to system and process issues, conducting root cause analysis, and proposing solutions to resolve issues within agreed SLAs. You will act as the second line support for resolving complex trading-related issues, prioritise urgent business issues, and provide regular updates to stakeholders on the progress of live issues. Your role will involve coaching Commercial Support Desk colleagues to reduce the volume of escalated issues, identifying key trends and improvement opportunities using operational scorecards, and contributing to building a knowledge base by providing comprehensive summaries of root causes and resolutions for each issue owned.
Who you are
You are a highly skilled professional with a strong focus on building effective working relationships and continuously seeking ways to improve systems and processes. With your exceptional communication skills, challenging mindset, and self-motivation, you excel in resolving complex trading issues, providing timely updates to stakeholders, and driving efficiencies within the Commercial Support Desk. Your in-depth knowledge of core trading systems, commercial processes, and retail priorities, combined with your expertise in Excel and ideally GSCOP, enable you to deliver effective solutions and contribute to the success of the trading and retail teams through proactive support and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrable Commercial Systems experience in a retailer or a large organisation
- Experience in managing stakeholders both in technical teams as well as various commercial teams
- Ability to adapt communication to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in Excel, root cause analysis, and proposing solutions
- Demonstrable experience in driving continuous improvement and self-motivation to fixing complex system issues
