What you'll do
As a People Delivery Partner for Retail Change at Sainsbury's, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design and delivery of change approaches for retail across the organisation. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, CoEs, and the wider People team, you will ensure the consistent design and delivery of people change activity that aligns with business goals and enhances the colleague and line manager experience. By initiating, planning, and implementing change activities, analysing data insights, and facilitating engagement activities, you will contribute to successful change management, ensuring effective communication and smooth transitions. Your focus on improving change readiness, enhancing organisational performance, and strengthening leadership capabilities will be key to driving sustainable change initiatives across Sainsbury's and Argos.

As a People Delivery Partner, Retail Change for Sainsbury's, you are a seasoned professional with a strong background in people partnering and change management within a retail environment. With a track record of successfully designing and delivering effective change approaches and plans, you possess the ability to collaborate with stakeholders, drive impactful change initiatives, and ensure alignment with business goals. Your strong teamworking, problem-solving, and project management skills, combined with your commitment to continuous improvement and simplification, enable you to navigate complex organisational landscapes and deliver positive outcomes that enhance colleague and line manager experiences while driving sustainable business transformation.
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience of designing and delivering people change approaches within a complex, fast‑paced commercial or retail environment, with measurable outcomes.
- Demonstrable ability to track, monitor, and report on project or programme progress, including identifying risks and implementing mitigation actions.
- Capability to analyse people and organisational data to inform decision‑making, measure change impact, and adjust plans accordingly.
- Evidence of effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration, including facilitating workshops, focus groups, or working groups to secure buy‑in and feedback.
- Applied knowledge of project management methodology or governance frameworks, ensuring change initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business goals.
