Brand Propositions Manager – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract – Hybrid Working/London

What you'll do
As a Brand Propositions Manager at Sainsbury's, you will be responsible for developing and driving the brand plans by creating distinctive, bold, and differentiating propositions that elevate our brands and ensure their successful performance. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the business to gain alignment and input on the brand plans, answering strategic questions and collaborating with insight teams to inform the customer plans and proposition development.
Your role will involve creating propositions that delight customers, meet the commercial needs of our business, and ignite creativity within our brand communication and channel teams, while using real-time insights to anticipate risks and optimise the market opportunities. Through your brand strategy expertise and passion for our brands, you will play a vital role in shaping the annual and quarterly customer plans to reflect brand priorities and influence the channel plans for our brands.
You will have the chance to work on some of Sainsburys most strategically important propositions which ladder up to clear proofpoints of the corporate strategy and which will be seen and interacted with by millions of customers each week.
Who you are
As a Brand Propositions Manager for Sainsbury's Brand Planning & Propositions team, you are an inspiring, strategic and creative thinker with a deep understanding of the customer, brand strategy and proposition development. You should have an infectious passion for our brands, a customer and commercial focus, and the ability to balance analytical thinking with innovative ideas to help you drive the development of distinctive and bold propositions that bring our brand plans to life. Your strong influencing skills, relationship-building abilities, and resilience enable you to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, anticipate risks, trade off competing priorities and inspire them to bring your propositions to life.
Essential criteria
- Brand Strategy Expertise: Proven experience in developing and executing brand strategy/propositions.
- Customer and Commercial Focus: Strong understanding of customer behaviour and commercial drivers, with the ability to align brand activity to business objectives.
- Insight-Driven Decision Making: Experience using customer insights and real-time data to inform brand strategy, anticipate risks, and optimise opportunities.
- Communication and Stakeholder Relationships: Strong experience building cross-functional relationships which enables you to inspire, influence and execute our brands plans in a credible way.
