What you'll do

As the Digital Marketing Associate at Sainsbury's, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the creation and execution of engaging Display & Paid Social campaigns that drive sales and enhance brand visibility within the Argos & Habitat Digital Team. Your responsibilities will include project managing the delivery of campaigns, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external agencies, optimising media campaigns to deliver commercial impact, and leveraging data-driven insights to continuously evolve the marketing strategy. Working closely with the Display & Social Media Lead, you will manage budgets, analyse campaign performance, and foster relationships with key platforms and partners to drive innovation and achieve marketing objectives. Use dynamic creative platform Smartly to build display and social assets from approved templates for campaigns and always on product ads. Your proactive approach, attention to detail, and analytical mindset will be essential in ensuring the success of digital campaigns while contributing to the growth and performance of the team.

As a Digital Marketing Associate at Sainsbury's, you are a passionate and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in social media platforms, digital display, and performance marketing. Your analytical skills and ability to manipulate data, combined with your entrepreneurial mindset and proactive attitude, enable you to drive continuous optimisation and deliver campaigns at pace and with accuracy. With a customer-centric approach and a desire to become a channel expert, you thrive in collaborative environments and are always willing to undertake continuous development to stay at the forefront of the fast-evolving digital marketing landscape.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Knowledge and practical experience in a range of social media platforms and digital display, with an understanding of performance marketing and ecommerce principles
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and projects, and comfortable working at pace to deliver campaigns on time and to budget
  • Strong analytical skills, including intermediate Excel (pivot tables, lookups), and the ability to use data and insight to optimise campaigns and drive commercial impact
  • Collaborative, proactive, and passionate about digital marketing, with a customer-centric approach and willingness to continuously learn in a fast-moving environment.
