You’ll join the Argos Commercial & Digital division, a dynamic and evolving area responsible for delivering compelling product propositions across major branded categories. The team is undergoing significant transformation, offering the opportunity to shape new ways of working and make meaningful impact in a high‑profile commercial environment.

 

More about the role

As a Senior Merchandiser, you will lead the end‑to‑end merchandising strategy for your department, ensuring customer‑focused ranges, strong financial performance, and operational excellence. You’ll work closely with Buying, Supply Chain, Digital and Accenture Managed Services to deliver trading plans and optimise stock, sales, and profitability.

You’ll coach and develop your team, manage forecasting and trading rhythms, embed new processes, and influence key stakeholders to drive departmental success. This is a strategic role with visibility, impact, and the opportunity to shape future ways of working.

 

More about you

You’ll bring strong commercial and analytical capability, with experience leading merchandising activity in fast‑paced retail environments. You’ll be confident influencing stakeholders at all levels, resilient through change, and capable of guiding teams through transformation. Experience within electricals or big‑brand categories is essential.

 

Essential criteria

  • Proven merchandising experience including electrical or big‑brand categories
  • Ability to lead, coach and develop Merchandisers and Assistant Merchandisers
  • Strong commercial, analytical and systems capability
  • Ability to influence and collaborate cross‑functionally
  • Ability to prioritise effectively in a fast‑moving trading environment
