We’d all like amazing work to do, and real work/life balance. That’s waiting for you right here. Supply Chain and Logistics are the engine room for getting thousands of products from farms and factories, through the business and to our millions of customers every day. We plan around events from barbecue weekends to Sunday roasts, and who wants oven-ready cauliflower cheese to those who prefer to make it from scratch. Insight and data are everything. But so is judgement — if there’s an issue or ambiguity anywhere, we’re the first to spot it. There’s a big transformation going on. That calls for people who champion change, bring others with them, collaborate and communicate. Because those people can go a very long way.

Why join us

Joining Sainsbury's as a Tester in the Logistics Systems team means becoming part of an innovative and collaborative environment where your contributions directly impact the success of business and user acceptance testing activities. With a focus on continuous improvement and upskilling, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, influence testing strategies, and play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of efficient and effective solutions. At Sainsbury's, you will be supported in your professional development, encouraged to embrace new ways of working, and empowered to make a difference through your work, all while fostering meaningful connections with colleagues and customers alike.

What you'll do

You will play a crucial role in the success of all business and user acceptance testing activities for assigned projects. Working within the Logistics Systems team, you will execute testing activities, write test scripts, produce reports, and prepare the test environment. Collaborating closely with business operations, you will ensure that the system meets the necessary requirements, functions effectively, and is fit for purpose. Additionally, you will support the Testing Lead in managing the testing process from project initiation to post-implementation support, contribute to the testing strategy, and identify opportunities for system quality improvements.

Who you are

You are a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical aptitude and a proactive approach to upskilling in new areas. With a background in project work, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and experience in supply / logistics / warehousing systems, you demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and a keen focus on continuous improvement. Your ability to execute testing activities, write test scripts, and collaborate effectively with business operations and testing teams contributes to the successful validation and delivery of high-quality systems that meet business requirements and user needs.

You'll also be able to share in our success as you may be eligible for a performance-related bonus of up to 5% of salary, depending on how we perform.
