We’d all like amazing work to do, and real work-life balance. That’s waiting for you at Sainsbury’s. Everything our Nectar team does is powered and fuelled by data — and by great relationships with some of the UK’s favourite brands. The Nectar 360 team focuses on developing loyalty programmes, turning amazing data into something that makes a difference, traditional media and digital. It’s like an agency-within-a-retailer, and retail media is crucial. The culture might not be what you expect either, because there’s no set-up quite like this one. The team is a real priority because it’s connected to everything the business does and drives profitability. It’s where you can take risks, learn from them and be recognised.
Our Partnerships team sits at the heart of customer loyalty, working with partners to deliver initiatives that create value for customers and support commercial growth. You’ll join a collaborative group that brings together account leadership, campaign strategy and insight — helping shape how partners show up in the loyalty space and how we deliver against shared objectives. If you’re excited by customer loyalty and enjoy building trusted relationships, this is a brilliant opportunity to make a visible impact within one of the UK’s biggest loyalty programmes.
More about the roleReporting into the Senior Partner Manager, the Senior Partner Executive will plan and manage multiple workstreams and projects (not just individual campaigns), balancing day-to-day delivery with longer-term account priorities. You’ll help shape the strategy behind partner campaigns — for example, creating an approach to drive redemptions — while keeping a clear view of the commercials and what drives performance across the account.
A key part of the role is commercial ownership: you’ll build and develop the account revenue forecast, understand the key commercial levers, and stay close to any impacts to revenue (such as cancelled activity or under/over-performing campaigns). You’ll also lead regular communication across the team on performance, and you’ll be able to explain key contractual clauses and how they’re monitored. Externally, you’ll be a confident lead in partner meetings — including owning, creating content for and running monthly meetings — and internally you’ll be the “go-to” person for your partner, working cross-functionally to keep activity aligned and moving.
More about youYou’re comfortable owning a busy workload with multiple moving parts, and you can translate account priorities into clear plans and actions. You know how to build long-term client relationships and communicate with impact — whether you’re presenting an update, shaping a recommendation, or steering a meeting when there’s uncertainty in the room. You’ll bring a solid understanding of direct marketing and CRM, and you’ll use that knowledge to guide campaign thinking and partner conversations.
You’ll also enjoy working collaboratively with insight and analytics colleagues, ensuring the right insights are available to support key projects and decisions. You keep yourself informed on what’s happening in the loyalty space, proactively sharing relevant developments and your perspective with partners and internal stakeholders. You’re organised, detail-focused, and you use initiative to spot issues early and keep delivery on track.
Essential criteria- Demonstrable experience of managing multiple concurrent workstreams/projects, including planning, prioritising and delivering to agreed timelines.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Direct Marketing and/or CRM, and ability to apply it to campaign strategy (e.g., driving redemptions).
- Ability to create, own and maintain an account revenue forecast, including identifying and communicating key performance drivers and risks.
- Ability to lead partner-facing meetings independently, including creating content, presenting updates and managing open questions/uncertainty.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office (e.g., PowerPoint and Excel) to produce clear updates, forecasts and meeting materials.
