Just ask the millions of people up and down the country who choose to shop with us every week.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>More about you</strong></p> <p>We would like to hear from you if...</p> <ul> <li>You are a qualified LGV Driver C+E with an up-to-date CPC qualification.</li> <li>You understand tachograph laws and rules and regulations of the road.</li> <li>You have good geographic knowledge of UK roads.</li> <li>You have experience driving articulated vehicles.</li> <li>You have an ability to work without direct supervision.</li> <li>You have excellent communication skills.</li> <li>You have an ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.</li> </ul> <p><strong>More about the Role</strong></p> <p>The key part of the role is to deliver goods safely to RDC’s and return to depot according to the plan and adhering to all legal requirements and safety.</p> <ul> <li>Unlike many driver roles, there is minimal manual handling requirements and minimal store work, focusing mainly on supplier collections and DC deliveries.</li> <li>Accountable for understanding and adherence to the route schedule.</li> <li>Accountable for ensuring the correct load & paperwork is on board.</li> <li>Responsible for ensuring the tractor & trailer unit are road legal.</li> <li>Responsible for filling in the check sheets and reporting any defects.</li> <li>Responsible for identifying and logging defects into the defect books.</li> <li>Responsible for informing the depot of any delays on in their day.</li> <li>Responsible for adhering to all tachograph and working time law.</li> <li>To act as an ambassador for the company by always driving and behaving responsibly.</li> <li>To get the best out of our vehicles by driving with care, forward planning, and fuel efficiency.</li> <li>Ensuring load security and safety.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Hourly Rates:</strong> Weekdays range from £18.91ph to £21.62ph, Weekend rates range between £20.87ph and £23.58ph and there is also a 6th Shift £40 bonus payment per completed shift.</p> <p><strong>Added to competitive rates of pay,</strong> the benefits are also great – including paid holiday, colleague discount at Sainsbury’s, Argos, and Habitat after three months.
