We’d all like amazing work to do, and real work-life balance. That’s waiting for you at Sainsbury’s. Here, everything in our stores starts in Sainsbury’s Commercial. From product, proposition, packaging and price, to whether it meets our sustainability commitments or simply tastes great, our team is responsible for, all food, non- food and Clothing items available in Sainsbury’s stores, online and on demand. It’s an incredibly fast-paced environment. People here are in it together and aren’t afraid to take risks. The knowledge and experience you gain here could set you up for career moves anywhere else in the business. So, if you’re passionate about your products and just as hungry to learn, you’ll fit in perfectly.

Why join us

At Sainsbury’s, our purpose is to make good food joyful, accessible and affordable for everyone, every day. As our Community Executive, you’ll play an important role in bringing that purpose to life through community programmes and partnerships that help more families access good food and support our ambition that no child goes hungry.

This is a great opportunity to work on high-profile initiatives that create meaningful social impact, collaborating with charity partners, colleagues across the business and stores nationwide. You’ll help shape and deliver programmes that make a genuine difference while developing your skills in partnerships, project delivery, communications and impact measurement.

What you’ll do

Working within the Community and Partnerships team, you’ll support the delivery of our community strategy and Plan for Better priorities, managing projects from concept through to execution and evaluation.

You’ll build strong relationships with charity and community partners, ensuring programmes remain on track and deliver positive outcomes. You’ll coordinate campaigns and activities across our stores and wider business, bringing together colleagues from multiple teams to deliver brilliant experiences for customers, colleagues and communities.

A key part of the role will be measuring and communicating impact. You’ll use data, feedback and case studies to evaluate programme success, identify opportunities for improvement and help tell compelling stories about the difference we’re making together.

You’ll also support the management of community budgets, donations and operational processes, ensuring activity is well-organised, efficient and delivered to a high standard.

Who you are

You’re passionate about creating positive social impact and enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders to make things happen. You’re highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and confident working in a fast-paced environment where plans can evolve quickly.

You’re equally comfortable working with data and insight as you are building relationships, and you enjoy turning information into meaningful stories and recommendations. Most importantly, you’re a collaborative team player who combines attention to detail with a strategic mindset and a desire to continuously improve.

  • Experience delivering projects, programmes or campaigns from planning through to implementation, review and reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing and managing stakeholders up to a senior level and the ability to build productive relationships across internal teams and external partners.
